Mental Health Link Workers
What is it?
The link working team comprises clinicians who work closely with GP surgeries and provide support to staff to understand what services are available in Barnet to improve an individual’s emotional health and wellbeing.
They may also meet with individuals to help identify what support is required and make recommendations of the best service that can provide this. This may be community organisations or specialist mental health services, depending on each individual’s needs.
The team comprises highly skilled and experienced mental health clinicians working alongside primary care, including social workers/ occupational therapists/ mental health nurses and graduate mental health workers.

This service is for Barnet residents between the ages of 18-64 years works to:

improving access to social groups, education, employment, voluntary services, talking therapies, specialist mental health services.

enable individuals to increase their understanding of their emotional health and wellbeing,

develop strategies to improve emotional health and wellbeing, improve the quality of life.
How can I access this service?
This service is accessed through your GP, who will make a referral.
